Hardship Fund Guidelines · Dec 2025
For the 2025–2026 fiscal year (September 1 – August 31), the SCCFT Executive Board voted to create a pool of money for faculty colleagues to access in case of hardship or emergency. This fund is available to any faculty member of our bargaining unit who has taught at least one class at Shoreline in any of the previous four quarters (including summer). When requesting funding, please consider your needs as well as the needs of other faculty.
- $5,000 set aside for the fiscal year; individuals may request up to $599 total per year (multiple requests allowed), first-come first-served.
- To request: email Treasurer@sccft1950.com with the amount, your name, and address. A check follows by mail within 15 business days. Requests are kept private — no reasons required.
- To join the union: Amber Avery-Graff, VP of Membership. To get involved: President Eric Hamako, or VP of Contingent Faculty George Beckley.
SCCFT Donated Money to Local Food Banks · Nov 2025
SCCFT donated $500 to Hopelink Shoreline and $500 to North Helpline to support free groceries for colleagues and neighbors. Available to faculty, staff, students, and community members — contact either organization directly, no union referral needed. Both welcome first-time visitors.
